Real Beginning of new year

 Sinhala  and Hindu aluth awrudu festival is a national festival in sri Lanka. Astrologically when the sun moves from Meena Rashiya to Mesh Rasiya.  it changes not only the sun it change also peoples thoughts.In the awrudu season all of us get new clothes,made different kind of sweets, repair  the house and working places, etc.

But the real awurudu must begin from our thoughts.it's a rebirth of our mind and feelings.We should forgive, we should apologize we should keep our bonds and relationships. In this season we can refresh our life in the soul not only with the appearance.

Another most important thing is we start again our same day to day life after the new year season. we spend big amount of money for buy new clothes, but do you know most of street children have only one clothe.In the awrudu day they are in empty stomach. The don't know even taste of kawn or kokis. They don't know what is the custom of awrudu, but still we all are celebrating awrudu.

I can do some little thing...you can do little thing...but we all can do big thing......

Temple Of Buddhangala

Buduruwagala is an ancient Buddhist temple in Sri lanka.that dates back to the 10th century. Buddhangala is located about 5km from the Wellawaya on the Thanamalwila road.the name Buddhangala means "The rock with the statue of Buddha".this temple is unique because of its seven rock carved out sculptures belonging to mahayana buddhist tradition.This is the tallest Buddha statue in country. the main Buddha statue at the middle is considered as statue of "Deepankara Buddha".this statue is 51 feet high. In the right side,we can see three caved statues.those believed to belongs to Manju sri Boddhisathwa, Maitreya Nodhisattwa and Vajirapani Bodhisathwa. The left side statue represents Sudhana Kumara, Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva and Tara.
